Pros

The best part of my job is helping/speaking with patients and the very few coworkers who work hard and are polite.

Cons

Bad management: the entire pharmacy department has a strange mix of micromanaging but management also doesn’t help or care about improving anything at all. They time you on how long you are in the bathroom. Often times, I have to skip my lunch break. It’s common and encouraged in the pharmacy to keep working and either not eat at all, or eat in the pharmacy. Understaffing is a huge issue. They can’t keep people staffed. Training for new hires is insufficient. Many new hires leave shortly after starting, I don’t blame them. It’s chaotic. The team culture here feels like a cliquey high school. It is extremely unprofessional. Pharmacists and management speak horribly about staff in front of their coworkers. I work in the med rec team as well as inpatient. The med recs are miserable and struggling. ProHealth pays way less than their competitor hospitals. The health insurance isn’t good. I would steer clear of working for any pharmacy related job here.
