Pros
- I love the people I work with/alongside.
- Very small business feel, and it allows me to get to know my patients really well.
- The autonomy of my day.
- My patients are usually pretty awesome.
- Feeling like my work makes a difference.
- Paid time off.
- The family atmosphere is great every day at work.
- It feels like upper management is behind you most of the time.
Cons
- I have to carry my own Malpractice/Liability insurance policy, and the company does not cover me. (This does not offer a tremendous sense of security.)
- No Continuing Education Allowance or Reimbursement.
- No Licensure Reimbursement.
- Expected to hold a DOT Medical Examiner Cert., but does not offer reimbursement for classes or testing.
- No Tuition Reimbursement.
- If the company decides to close the office because of weather, building maintenance, or any other circumstances beyond your control, PTO must be used to cover the lost time; otherwise, you will not be paid for those hours.
- No transparency with upper management running the business.
