Pros

The individual contributors I interacted with were hard-working, dedicated, and truly cared about the clients.

Cons

When I joined ProPharma Group six years ago it was a good place to work. Unfortunately that is no longer true. The company was about 400 people total when I started. Leadership truly cared about the business, the employees, and the clients. Now ProPharma Group has over 3,000 employees, with offices around the globe. This growth has come mostly through acquisitions and mergers. The leadership comprises the people who headed the companies that have been bought. Those companies generally had 400 staff members or fewer. Managing a 400 person local company is a very different skillset than running a 3,000 person global enterprise. The executives are either unable to recognize they aren’t qualified to run the business they have assembled, or aren’t willing to admit it. They base decisions on inaccurate and incomplete information. Morale in general is poor and staff turnover is high. This was exacerbated recently by a second round of layoffs. The severance package offered was best described as miserly. Each time a new acquisition is announced the joke is that we should send sympathy cards to the new employees. Staff deliberately withhold information from leadership for fear it will be misused. Within the last two years several long-term clients have cancelled their contracts. Six years ago ProPharmag Group leadership cared. Now ProPharma Group leadership cares about money, mostly their own.

Pros

There are not many pros, depending on which group you align with. Sales leadership is misaligned.

Cons

Pay scale is low considering the amount of work they would like you to do, extremely competitive between team members, and they love to micro-manage.
