Some nepotism happens here and is pretty obvious at times. Certain jobs (I.E. maintenance techs) should require more in depth training, which results in people who are not very knowledgeable about what they are doing. The few problem people who cause drama and spread gossip/make sexually charged comments about others seem to get a pass instead of reprimanded depending on who they are while others are threatened with a write up for letting a swear word out or forgetting some trivial detail. Some supervisors will totally throw you under the bus to cover their tail, even in the event of you warning them of an issue arising, only for them to ignore it until it causes a bigger issue and then blame the person who sounded the alarm to begin with. Rule book enforcement varies widely depending on who your supervisor is, what church you go to, what your gender is and sometimes race. The wearing of political attire is forbidden in the rule book, yet there are MAGA hats and shirts galore in here and everyone assumes you align with that. Some supervisors have never performed the jobs they oversee, so it can be like communicating in a foreign language to get them to understand aspects of the job, so they impose new time consuming controls that don't eliminate the actual issue.
