Pros

I had a great team around me and made some friends for life. The majority have moved on now and thankfully found success and progression elsewhere.

Cons

The main issue at Probrand is the toxic culture. Toxic work cultures make going to work feel miserable. People can’t make decisions - even the simple purchase of a peripheral requires director sign off. There is no trust. Working from home is assumed to be a way of skiving. Management doesn’t allow people to work from home because they want to watch people. “MANAGEMENT vs. US” culture Micro-management is rife Judging people by when they start work and how late they work. Managers watching clocks so don’t be late or you may have to sneak in the side entrance. People that are given extra privileges for enforcing the leaderships toxic culture and talking behind people’s backs in order to gain something. Management talking down to people regularly, some people a victim of this more than others which in my opinion constitutes as bullying. Shaming low performance When people decide to leave or mention they are thinking of leaving, they are talked about as traitors. Once they are gone they are repeatedly blamed for ongoing issues. This means remaining management don’t have to take responsibility. Asking staff to write positive reviews online to cover up the toxicity. It’s amazing that they would rather attempt to cover things up than to address the issues and make things better, but to do this would mean admitting fault. Values are spoken of rarely and mean nothing. They are just words and fluff to tick a box for HR. No personal phones allowed on desks or in use in the office They once made a rule that all the guys had to be clean shaven!! Makes me laugh as I type this! Unbelievable.

Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. I’m really pleased you worked in a great team and build up strong relationships with your colleagues. 10 years is a great length of time to be with us, so thank you for your service! As you know we have worked extremely hard over the last 2 years to improve our culture – including holding staff workshops to ensure we are getting it right. We base appraisals and our regular employee awards around our new values to embed them into the Company. I am sorry to hear you feel there is a lack of trust. We have an open door policy and are constantly looking to build trusted relationships with our teams and further to your comments on home working, many employees have applied for flexible working (both formally and informally) which have been granted. Probrand appreciate how important a good work life balance is and we endeavour to accommodate such requests wherever possible (however, whatever the agreed working arrangement, we do like our employees to start work on time – so no one should have to ‘sneak in the side entrance’ 😊). Just to confirm, there is no rule about having to be clean shaven 😉 all we ask is that our employees adhere to simple hygiene basics and are presentable and professional when they visit our customers. I am sorry you did not raise these issues whilst you were still in employment, however we really appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Working at Probrand as an Account Manager in the Digital Sales team has been a very positive experience and a great opportunity to build core sales skills. The environment is fast-paced and engaging, offering hands-on experience in managing accounts, handling inbound opportunities, and developing knowledge of the IT solutions market. Probrand is a digitally led company with a strong “can-do” approach, which is reflected in the way the team works and supports customers. This mindset creates a proactive and forward-thinking environment. The team culture is a real highlight. Colleagues are supportive, approachable and contribute to a positive atmosphere on the sales floor, which makes a big difference day to day. A key strength of the role is the consistent weekly training and ongoing support from sales management. There is a strong focus on continuous improvement, sharing best practices, and helping individuals develop, which is particularly valuable for those looking to grow a career in sales. Targets are realistic and achievable with consistent effort and the clear performance metrics make it easier to track progress and stay motivated. There is good potential to progress and earn commission for those who are driven and follow the processes in place.

Cons

The initial training period involves a higher volume of proactive outbound calls and outreach while building experience and developing an account base. However, this is a valuable part of the learning process and helps build confidence and capability early on.

Pros

- Willing to take on employees who don't necessarily have experience within the sector - Opportunities for progression within the Digital Experience team based on strengths thanks to a supportive manager - Solid foundation of knowledge provided upon starting the role and built upon over time through weekly training sessions run by COO - Opportunity for collaboration across departments eg sales, marketing etc - Incentives to drive work ethic eg extra holiday days and vouchers - Opportunities to earn commission

Cons

- Working hours are slightly unusual (8:45-5:30) which can make commuting a bit more awkward especially when working in the office full time - Holiday allowance is low in comparison to other jobs I have seen advertised and also in comparison to the experience that my coworkers have had at other places of work - Sometimes there is a lack of communication between departments which can slow down processes eg between sales and DE team - Limited flexibility in working: the DE team is the only team which does not have the option for hybrid working despite all other teams being either hybrid or remote.
