Pros

I've never worked somewhere that is as truly collaborative as ProdPad. The product management ethos that the company promotes through its product and its thought leadership truly permeates every aspect of the business. There is no such thing as a stupid idea - everyone is encouraged to have ideas, test them out, measure, learn, iterate and improve. There is zero blame culture - it's such a supportive and intelligent place to work. No egos, no scape goating - everyone working together in an efficient and logical way to drive results. Janna, the Co-Founder, invented the Now-Next-Later roadmap and it's what the product is built around. That approach to roadmapping moves away from timeline based roadmaps and focuses on time horizons instead. And this is the approach the whole company uses - so there is no horrible pressure to hit arbitrary deadlines, but an emphasis on working lean to deliver solutions fast, then test and iterate to improve. It means we're all delivering at pace, but we're delivering stuff that makes a difference to customers rather than just getting any old stuff shipped so we hit a deadline. It's so refreshing and such a smart way to work.

Cons

There are none! Honestly, it's such a flexible and supportive place to work.

Pros

The company cares for the employees in every way possible, doing its best to set them up for successfully contributing to both the business and their own careers. In contrast to many orgs I've been a part of, the ProdPad leadership was very transparent about most things. The foundations of the product being built are solid and focused on alignment with best practices in the industry.

Cons

Building opinionated software means many customers struggled to fully adopt the product. This posed a risk to the business success of a company that, as far as I'm aware, has taken on no external funding. This resulted in some ups & downs as far as the business went, and meant positions had to be either reduced or terminated. This uncertainty, albeit common in many startups, was extremely difficult.
