Pros
- The product offering is very good. - The platform was built on a solid foundation of intentional design and thoughtful strategy with a customer-centric mindset. - The customer base is excellent and made up of smart, responsive and thoughtful people who care about what they do. - There is a wealth of valuable content and product management focused resources built into the product and website. - The ProductPlan brand is a market and thought leader and there is still a large potential upside in the TAM.
Cons
- With regular turnover in leadership following the private equity acquisition, the company's strategic direction has changed so frequently that it seems to have disappeared. - Zero transparency from the board/leadership about how strategic decisions are made. - New leadership is unwilling to acknowledge accountability or take responsibility for shortcomings or failures. - Multiple rounds of layoffs. The original staff of diverse, opinionated, and talented individuals has been nearly entirely replaced with a revolving door of "yes men" who have very little industry experience. - They don't seem to support new hybrid or remote roles outside of their Denver office. - Very few wellness benefits to support a healthy work life balance.
