Pros
-Can move up very fast to a branch manager if you have proven your self -Great flexibility for students -nice variety of shifts
Cons
- low pay compared to Costco " we work inside Costco " , I started from min wage 10.25 and when I got the assistant manager job I used to get paid 11.25, when I got the manager job offer I was harassed by my superior so I had to leave before accepting it. - no benefits, they give you 38 hours per week as an assistant manager in order not to pay you insurance and benefit , but then again you work above 40 hours per week and most of the hours are unpaid - Senior management and head office don't know what's going on on Costco's floor in the 74 warehouses across Canada ,since they are isolated in a small office in Mississauga. - systems are always outdated , which makes the work process slower ,most of the time we have a work backlog as an assistant managers or managers, we had to carry work home or work 2 to 3 extra hours unpaid. -PWD is a second party that works for Costco , most of the time Costco don't fully cooperate with us I'm glad that I quit, it was the worst 2 years in my life
