Pros

The agency has an open office, so there is a lot of organic collaboration and support, in addition to a true "open door policy" environment. The staff is award-winning and they're well-known as Baltimore's PR and marketing agency, leading efforts for many notable Baltimore initiatives including those for the National Aquarium, T. Rowe Price Corporate Social Responsibility, Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, CareFirst, The Baltimore Station, Project SPACE and countless others. The members of the team are also influencers in their own right, participating in conversations happening about our city and our clients like #myBmore and others. The leadership also rolled out a work from home benefit to all staff, as well as personal birthdays off work this year! The team does an excellent job of not just crafting newsworthy narratives, but also advocating for them personally and promoting them from the ground, up.

Cons

I can't think of many drawbacks to working at or with this agency. If you like working in huge companies with hundreds of employees and lots of red tape, then you should definitely look elsewhere.

Pros

The team at PROFILES is welcoming, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping their interns grow. I was given meaningful work throughout the internship. I was never bored and never overwhelmed. The mostly remote position offered a flexible schedule. As a small agency, PROFILES gave me the unique opportunity to connect with the entire team and take on projects that aligned with my interests. Each day brought valuable experience, from drafting materials, specifically press releases and pitches, to securing placements and seeing the impact in real life. On a few occasions, I even had the opportunity to visit the news station in person for media opportunities. I can’t say enough great things about this internship. It was an incredibly rewarding and inspiring experience.

Cons

Absolutely no complaints, just gratitude.
