Pros

You get tons of exposure to C-level contacts at large companies. You also get lots of experience in cross-functional collaboration because the production of every work product involves the input of the entire company, including company execs. Company culture is also improving thanks to the hire of the current VP of HR.

Cons

The pay is atrocious and way below market. The CEO and President are notorious micromanagers who insist on forcing the team to attend pointless "training" meetings in which the same stale sales pitches are rehashed over and over. The company consistently misses sales targets every month due to unreasonable goals and chronically understaffed teams. But the level of stress you will take on as an employee will depend heavily on the department you are hired into (i.e., the Practice Groups and Business Analytics). There is also not much room for professional growth, as every director and executive at the company is a lifer, none of whom will be retiring anytime soon.

Pros

Focused workdays, without unnecessary noise. Good fit for someone who likes taking their time with details instead of rushing through everything. Managers trust you to work through files, but they still check in when something needs another look. Team that takes accuracy seriously, which has made me more careful as well. Paid overtime when projects take longer than expected. Good learning environment, especially if you like dealing with documents and problem-solving.

Cons

Waiting on missing client documents

Pros

There is very little positive that can be said.

Cons

- Most employees are exhausted by the constant unprofessional and unreasonable behavior from leadership. - Leadership at Profit Recovery Partners is far too immature and ineffective to carry out responsibilities in a competent way. - Constructive feedback is taken personally instead of being used for improvement or growth. - Decisions are driven by personal relationships rather than merit or actual performance. - There is a persistent lack of basic professional judgment and accountability from leadership.
