Pros

The actual employees of Project 615 were incredible people who were drawn to a company that was advertised as purposeful and difference making. I remain friends with the wonderful men and women I met at this company, who were capable, driven, smart and passionate about supporting others.

Cons

You can trace every single issue at Project 615 back to the absolutely incompetent management of the owner, Derek Evans. From a lack of true processes or systems to support efficiency and productivity to abusive and illegal tactics: Derek himself creates and models a hostile work environment. Derek advertises himself and the company as "changing the world," when in reality he wants to make money and bolster his own self-image by turning tragedies and institutional failures into t-shirts. He blatantly rips off other companies' and artists' work, and there is a total lack of transparency into how and where money that is raised through sales is actually distributed. Perhaps more alarming is his treatment of employees. From working them past 40 hours/week without time-off, overtime pay or added benefits, to a lack of HR channels or support avenues, to asking invasive and sensitive questions to female employees, to berating and cursing at others: I've seen it all at this company and it's a disgrace. This man has no business running a company or managing others, and if you're considering applying here, please reconsider.

Pros

The people are top notch! The pay is ok but it's retail and it was a part time gig for me.

Cons

The hours weren't great but I knew that going in.

Pros

Everyone that works or has worked at Project 615 (outside of the owner) are genuinely wonderful human beings that are striving to make the world a better place. I met GREAT people here, all of which have moved on from this terrible company.

Cons

Project 615 has great potential that it will never realize as long as the owner, Derek Evans, is at the helm. He uses the mission-oriented fundraising model that 615 boasts about to build personal clout while simultaneously berating and demeaning every single person on his staff. He holds meetings on how to improve as a company and person, and then a few days later is in someones' face about nothing. I've personally seen the owner get in shouting matches with employees to the point where physical violence seemed imminent. He's acted out and thrown tantrums at 615-hosted events several times, once so vehemently that an officer intervened. I write all this with the hope that I can save even one person from experiencing this company's dirty secret, RUN in the other direction. You don't have to work at Project 615 to "Spread Love the Nashville Way™".
