Pros

Very supportive team that encourage you to develop your skills and provide opportunities for you to do so. I was always asked what my goals were and everyone would help me achieve them. The experience I was offered is invaluable and I would have struggled to find that elsewhere. There is a mentor program which is great, however I found in my team everyone acted as a mentor and if I had any questions there was always someone to help. I was given feedback regularly and felt valued for my work. I also found everyone very friendly and it was a comfortable working environment. There are regular social events that allow you to get to know everyone in a relaxed setting.

Cons

There can be long hours and sometimes the level of responsibility I had made me feel a bit pressured.

Pros

The role involves thoughtful, detail-oriented investment work, with exposure to complex transactions and a disciplined process. The team is collaborative and approachable, and junior professionals are given real responsibility while still having support when needed. There are strong opportunities to learn across industries and deal structures, with a good amount of mentorship along the way. Compensation and benefits are competitive, including solid healthcare and a sense of stability. The firm also makes day-to-day life easier with meals provided, a dinner stipend in the evenings, and transportation covered for late nights.

Cons

You get direct, day-to-day exposure to the CIO and CEO. That can be intimidating at first, but it’s a real advantage—you’re working closely with two thoughtful, highly capable leaders who are invested in development. There’s also a strong emphasis on structure, with trackers and checklists that keep the team organized and accountable. It reinforces a merit-based culture where people who perform well are recognized, regardless of level.
