Pros
There are a lot of very nice people that work here. That's the only pro.
Cons
Prosperity Bank has grown by acquiring other small banks, however the bank is still run like a mom/pop bank. The tone at the top is terrible, unprofessional-ism is wide spread in every department, and the bank's technology is way behind the times. Employees are discriminated on based on unlawful practices. Resources supplied to do the jobs are thin, while the work loads are very large. Merit increases and incentives are usually based on friendships. Unless you really need a job, keep looking. The Audit Department is horrendous and holding the bank back. The three managers should be barred from practicing auditing for life, and probably managing human beings in general. Management provides no guidance, leadership skills, and does not show any general respect that should be shown to subordinates. Standards and best practices set down from any of the professional frameworks (AICPA, IAA, ISACA, etc) are not encouraged (one manager didn't even know of their existence). The one thing that management focuses heavily on is budgeted hours. Time is harped on to the nth degree and all auditors are interrogated thoroughly for any overages. It's safe to say that management has created a very uncomfortable environment inside and out of the department, which makes it very difficult to audit in this type of environment. Again unless you really need a job keep looking.
