Pros
- Strong operations - Very nice people and overall very nice culture - Generally well thought of by clients
Cons
- Aspires to have Big 4 advisory capabilities but is unable to deliver due small project focus and mentality. - Strong operations but little strategic or competitive understanding - Very high turnover of executive and experienced hire personnel coming in from the outside. Protiviti was created (and is still lead by) internal auditors or those with an audit mindset. Most of the upper management has not every worked in the big 4 (AA doesn't count...) as a management consultant. They don't understand what it means to be a management consultant and that 'risk' is not a four letter word. - They are part of Robert Half; it's not about the solutions; it's about the hours billed as a metric for success. Period. - Relatively intolerant of new /outside ideas, approaches, processes, or markets.
