Pros

—Good culture —Work-life balance is valued —Fair salary at Director level

Cons

—Relies heavily on Internal Audit services —Brand is relatively unknown (outside of IA) —Poor matching of skills/expertise to consulting engagements—too often jobs are staffed without consideration for the best interests of the resource

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
