Pros

One of the best reasons for working at this family friendly company is the people. Management goes to great lengths to hire the right people and then lets them work to the best of their ability. You would be hard pressed to find a better group of collaborative professionals. Their high standards and capacity for hard work combine to produce some pretty amazing results.

Cons

After some moments considering the cons, I can't come up with any.

Pros

PDHI has a tremendously well-built platform, both the infrastructure through commercial solution was well thought out, and it provides flexibility and connectivities better than most of its competition. During my time I experienced good collaboration between teams and overall good support from the leadership. The CEO is good at hiring quality people, empowering them, supporting them and allowing them to rise to their potential...I always felt respected at PDHI and think back on good memories collaborating with leaders during my time there. The benefits offering was top notch. PDHI covered much of the insurance premiums, a generosity that is not normally seen with most companies this size.

Cons

The industry (pop-health) is currently in another state of flux due to changing (unrelated) regulations which occupy decision makers resources. While this should actually be a 'win' for PDHI given their platform is probably the most flexible to support the nuances each client brings, unfortunately the prospects shifting priorities and 'status quo' were the biggest blockers to closing the deals needed to reach quota consistently. We tried for 4+ years to press into a specific market segment with the correct message(s) to create repeatability in deals...with little to show for the [sales] effort overall. The existing market competition is stiff and takes an exorbitant amount of time to penetrate. I wish the outcome had been different for me personally, and my hope is that those who follow me in sales will have better success than I did.

Pros

Exposure to the healthcare and wellness tech industry. Opportunity to work with health plans and wellness program clients. Small company environment allows you to wear multiple hats and gain varied experience. Some flexibility with remote work. Stable business model (not a startup, so less risk of sudden collapse). Good place to build experience early in your career before moving on.

Cons

Leadership lacks vision and often makes reactive decisions instead of having a clear long-term strategy. Poor communication from management; employees are often left in the dark about priorities or changes. Favoritism and office politics play a bigger role in advancement than actual performance. Very limited career growth few promotions, and little to no investment in employee development. Training is almost non-existent; employees are expected to “figure it out” on their own. Processes and technology are outdated, which makes work inefficient and frustrating. Company culture leans negative more criticism than recognition, and little appreciation for employees’ contributions. Work-life balance is difficult due to unrealistic expectations and shifting deadlines. Lack of collaboration across departments teams often work in silos. Morale is generally low, with high turnover creating instability.
