Pros

- It's located in goa and thereby the quality of living is significantly better than metros owing to little pollution, next to zero traffic and a lower cost of living. -There are some good people working in the mid-management to there's an element of peer learning.

Cons

It's a long list but i'll only highlight the structural problems and the tendency to fleece their investors. 1. Gourav Jaswal has hired friends and family in senior positions like board members/ CXOs who have been hired not for their competence but only because they're close to GJ. 2. Prototyze is basically a scheme by GJ to raise money from angels (because no VC worth their salt will give them a dime post due-diligence) and to pocket it by diverting some of the money to Private unlimited companies. 3. their ventures are lame. period. none can return money to the investors with the exception of seynse. 4. you're promised an entrepreneurial work environment that's a cradle of innovation whereas in reality everything has been pre-decided. right from choosing the name of the venture to design and product aspects is done by GJ without any major inputs from employees or even the venture heads. 4. unethical business and hiring practices. 5. GJ doesn't have any major educational background or workex. he is well connected owing to his past experience in tech media an that's what's sustaining this 6. Just look at some of the 5 star tributes on glassdoor. Somehow all, barring one of them were submitted on the same day (5th july) thereby propping up the rating from 1.6 to 3.1 . Perfectly encapsulates their mantra of doing everything just for the optics.

Pros

The people are hardworking and sincere and some people are really nice to work with, Unfortunately pretty much all the nice people left

Cons

1. There have been concerns around the authenticity of some Glassdoor reviews in the past, including reports that employees felt encouraged to leave positive feedback. This may impact how accurately the company is represented online. 2. Previous HR practices reportedly included handling resignations in a way that some employees found unprofessional or dismissive of feedback shared during exit conversations. 3. The company enforces strict punctuality policies, including salary deductions for repeated lateness. While this encourages discipline, it may benefit from more flexibility in situations like challenging weather or unforeseen circumstances. 4. Leadership direction can sometimes feel unclear, with frequent shifts in vision and priorities that may create confusion for teams. 5. Rapid promotion of very junior employees into leadership roles is intended to empower young talent, but in some cases, individuals may not receive adequate support or training, which can lead to stress or team management challenges. 6. There are perceptions of inconsistency in compensation practices, particularly regarding differences between local hires and those recruited from outside the region. 7. Long working hours are common, and some employees feel that extended efforts are not always adequately recognized, which may impact morale over time. 8. The company tends to hire many fresh graduates, which creates opportunities for early careers but may also result in a lack of experienced mentorship and structured guidance. 9. Cost-cutting measures have affected certain workplace amenities, such as access to refreshments and basic supplies, which can impact day-to-day employee comfort. 10. Concerns related to workplace conduct and professionalism may not always feel consistently addressed, particularly when involving senior staff, which can affect trust in internal processes.
