Pros

The office is nice The projects are interesting

Cons

Overworked (most people work 10 hours a day or more) and when you tell management it's a problem they say nothing and almost act proud of it of how hard their employees work Lack of transparency Not very competitive compensation It's a struggle to get your voice heard Nobody wants to make decisions Blame the employees when poor planning results to poor outcomes

Pros

What I value most was the technical depth of the tasks . The team’s expertise and team collaboration made the experience truly enriching.

Cons

Ambitious storytelling on the outside, but slow technical advancement on the inside. Many colleagues are exhausted, and constructive criticism often stayed unspoken. It reinforced for me how essential realistic planning and psychological safety workplaces are for any organization that wants to build more than a narrative. When the vision and capabilities drift too far from what is realistically achievable creates unnecessary pressure and limits the potential of the great people doing the work.It can happen that a hype is followed by a hard reality check.

Proxima Fusion Response

Thank you for your time with us and sharing your thoughts. We’re glad the technical depth and the people around you made it worthwhile. Building the fastest growing fusion company in Europe in just three years is something we're proud of and don't take lightly. We’re upfront about the intensity from the first interview. Challenge and open conversation are things we actively encourage in our communication. We want people to push back, flag problems early, and say the hard things. We are sorry if this is not the experience you had, and we’re grateful for being part of this.

Pros

Working at Proxima is like joining a ship already breaking through the atmosphere—challenging, inspiring, and quietly transformative. You grow fast because you must, surrounded by people who dream in equations and act with purpose. The pace is sharp, the bar is high, and the work leaves you feeling that you’re part of something that genuinely matters.

Cons

But intensity is the entrance fee. Things move quickly, change suddenly, and demand more than comfort. You need to enjoy uncertainty, adapt without hesitation, and stay centered in the middle of fast turns and unknowns. It’s not an easy ride—but for those who choose it, it’s unforgettable.
