Pros

- Worldwide Advertising Company - Fruit twice a week - Free coffee - Qualified employees - 25 annual days holidays + Bank Holidays

Cons

- Poor Management Incompetent and unprepared supervisors. No people skills at all. When the team is united, they try to put one against each other.  Managers have no sense of responsibility, slacking off their work to do personal stuff. Managers have no sense of leadership. They are not able to guide the team when a query arises. Whenever you ask your manager for assistance of any kind, they will order you to ask a co-worker's help or they will send you to a very messy and outdated file of instructions documents. When a doubt about one subject arises and supervisors do not have answers, instead of admitting and trying to be helpful, they will say it is a dumb question and change the subject. Sometimes they just say the first thing that comes to their mind. When the correct answer is found though, they will say either they have never mentioned the first answer or that you do not understand English. "Leaders" demoralize staff as a tool to control, some of them will punch tables showing a complete lack of professional behavior. The day to day environment of bullying and fear makes you feel the worst person in the planet. But remember: they are incompetent but not stupid. They are smart enough when they want to offend you. It is often done in secret, on your 'one to one' meeting, when there are no witnesses around. If you are a type of person that want to follow the Job Spec that you have applied for, this is the wrong place for you. In the interview they hide information from you and once you are hired, they ask you to do extra activities, most of times not related to your role, such as: bringing coffee to their desk, cook for them, buying them lunch and the hottest new one: weekly canteen cleaning. This last one can be detailed: leaving the area clean and tidy, loading and running the dishwasher; wiping down the tables/countertops and emptying trashcans. Maybe in the future they will add servicing restrooms and wiping down communal surfaces as our tasks. All supervision has a massive communication issue. They are biased, keeping just their preferred (in other words people of the same country as them) aware of important information. Besides that, they are super flexible with their fellow countryman. Nevertheless, if you are not their compatriot, they will follow exactly what is in your employment contract, not moving a comma for you. Be ready to watch people arrive and leave one hour earlier or taking 40 minutes breakfast break, when you will have no right to do the same. Besides their favorites, flatterers and bootlickers certainly find a place at CoE of Resources Dublin, Publicis Groupe shared office. They are promoted and get awards while great professionals are treated as rubbish. P.S.: it is true that you will bump into the personification of devil wears Prada on the corridors. - Low Salary VS Qualified Employees The company hired over qualified and competent employees to bring their knowledge to what they call "CoE". The name Center of Excellence sounds beautiful; it makes you think that you will work in a stable, growing, and structured environment. Instead of CoE, it should be called NIGHTMARE. The company has NO procedures, they expect YOU to develop the procedures from scratch, but you are not paid in accordance. You will have no leader to give you instructions; you will need to burn your neurons to sort simple things because nobody knows nothing. You will learn from your own mistakes and when a problem happens, it will be YOUR entire fault. Summarizing: the company has hired the most highly skilled and talented individuals in their field to bring their technique, and then when it was convenient Publicis Groupe-Resources fired them in exchange for someone even cheaper. - Overtime They are worried about cutting costs since this Center of Excellence is actually a Profit Center. It is a huge LIE that managers offer time in lieu. Everyone that works extra hours are NOT paid anyhow and this will be on your contract, so be careful before you sign it. Instead of having time compensation or being paid, they will not even thank you because they think that it is no more than your obligation. If you are late with your duties because you are making the job of two or three people, you must do overtime. Otherwise, you will be dismissed. Normally manager’s arguments are that you are not engaged with the company goals or 'not putting in extra effort'. - High turnover The highest staff turnaround I have ever seen. Including all departments, there are about 60 people, from these 20 left their jobs or were fired. This in only five months! I saw new employees leaving the place within one day to a few weeks of employment because this is a toxic environment. Usually, managers behave like children when they do not get things their own way. This company offers a very unstable future with no support from supervisors and a poor training. I would call it a "shut up training" as nobody really explains anything to you. They hand you slides that are not self-explanatory and you have to follow them. Publicis Resources offer you a permanent contract at CoE, but hardly the good staff remains.

Pros

Company takes pride in fostering team building and support They seem to be very open to inclusive hiring practices without becoming what the media claims DEI to be The intangible benefits (PTO, Parental Leave, etc) are very good

Cons

The company is not overly competitive in terms of salary or insurance benefits or bonus. At the end of the day, they are an advertising company and some might have moral hesitation to support some of the clients they have The organization is very large and very disjointed with all of the agencies underneath not communicating with each other very well
