Pros

The pay for managment used to be the best in the industry.. afte the bonus cut 5 years ago pay has dropped but it is still good.

Cons

benefits are down and equal to burger king, the average manager divides their pay by actual houors work will figure that they only make 14hr. profit sharing has reduced every year and the esop program stolen. no respect for associates. if you need two days off or need to see your family then prepared to pay the price. managment is lazy and expects all the under trained associates to get it. managers lie about training to make their numbers looks good. company doesnt provide time to train in productivty goals. associates are only allowed a three percent raise no matter what they do....... their is no exceptions.. company always sends out memos that too many associates are given to high ratings and will expect better raises. benefits package gets cut and the company tells about some other great thing to take the focus off it. Managers are allowed to harass associates about illnes. Associates are allowed to be blackballed after they try ti stand up for themselves. company engages in inter office campaigns to sell how much you love us to ourselves..

Pros

Amazing 401K, free stock after one year of employment, health insurance is very good for part-time employees if only getting it for yourself, management always approves time off requests, hours are always available, will work around school schedules, tuition reimbursement program, will reimburse you for gas for work-related expenses as needed and will put you in a hotel as needed for work-related reasons that are more than 50 miles from your home.

Cons

Not every store is the same, some stores are run better than others, some managers look down upon people with disabilities, and some see people with disabilities the same as someone without disabilities, they are very big about favoritism, you have to work a lot to earn a vacation, the company does not give out sick time and full-time gets the most benefits and is next to impossible to get full-time. Also, you practically have to be a former employee with a clean record or related in some way to a current employee to get a job with the company though Kentucky Publix's don't quite function that way.
