Pros

- Clean work environment - Decent pay (never pays minimum wage) - If you're a college student, they'll allow you to come back and work during breaks (summer, winter)

Cons

- Too many expectations for one person and if you don't fulfill every expectation, you could get in trouble (smile 24/7, greet EVERY customer, always look busy, clean, offer to help EVERY customer to their car....and there's even a certain way you have to go about doing that. It doesn't matter if you've done everything you could possibly do/needs to be done, you have to look like you're doing something at all times and trust, THEY ARE WATCHING... so if you don't look busy, you will get in trouble) - Unpredictable hours each week (terrible scheduling...you can get off at 12 am and they'll have you scheduled the following morning for 7 am) - No real "team work" - Many people in leadership positions don't possess leadership qualities (rude, belittling, don't know what they're doing, etc) - Each night, one customer service employee is expected to clean all bathrooms (instead of hiring a cleaning crew) - Rude customers - Working holidays = TERRIBLE

Pros

Amazing 401K, free stock after one year of employment, health insurance is very good for part-time employees if only getting it for yourself, management always approves time off requests, hours are always available, will work around school schedules, tuition reimbursement program, will reimburse you for gas for work-related expenses as needed and will put you in a hotel as needed for work-related reasons that are more than 50 miles from your home.

Cons

Not every store is the same, some stores are run better than others, some managers look down upon people with disabilities, and some see people with disabilities the same as someone without disabilities, they are very big about favoritism, you have to work a lot to earn a vacation, the company does not give out sick time and full-time gets the most benefits and is next to impossible to get full-time. Also, you practically have to be a former employee with a clean record or related in some way to a current employee to get a job with the company though Kentucky Publix's don't quite function that way.
