Good concept of bringing think tank industry to Pune. Good intellectual programmes. Junior staff is efficient, friendly, supportive. Work-life balance possible.
Cons
Bad management. Does not take suggestions, ideas or opinions. (Director has said the following to employees more than once openly - "don't think, do what you are told." ; "You are not mature enough to give suggestions." ; "I have not asked for your opinion." Yes. In a think tank.) Extremely hierarchical. Strong culture of "yes-men" over qualifications, honesty and merit. Highly uneven work distribution favouring yes-men. As a yes-man, there is no limit to what favours one can get. Discouraging and disrespectful treatment to researchers. Less opportunities for growth as a young professional. Poor salary structure.
