Pros

Decent non-monetary benefits, short commute if you live in Hammond.

Cons

Underpaid, since the merger of the two campuses, lots of in-fighting and political posturing that make for a toxic work environment. They treat you less like a human and more like pawn to be used in a grand game of chess. I've seen multiple people fired with no warning at all, only because one person had more political connections within the organization and wanted a larger 'piece' of the puzzle. Be prepared to work outside of normal work hours, especially if it's in the IS department.

Pros

The benefits are fine, but not amazing. There are lots of nice aspects to working on campus. I like the library access.

Cons

Pay is not that great and there is the weird effect of state politics on operations.
