The students are incredible to work with. They are highly motivated to become better artists and improve their skills all around. I love having a job that allows me the space to use my creative muscles. Veteran staff are dedicated and make working there a pleasure.
Cons
There is often inconsistent staffing that makes daily tasks difficult to accomplish. It feels like there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. Days can be very unpredictable and if you aren't a flexible person you will not be successful at this job.
The excitement to plan & coordinate art shows, creative freedom, greatly enjoy the students.
Cons
Heavy discrimination within management, & departments. Lack of support & action against nefarious acts, and poor management practices. Lots of workplace sabotage.
