Pros

Amazing coworkers, your peers are willing to help you succeed and you can generally find someone who has the answer you're looking for if you're wiling to search.

Cons

I went into this job know that the workload was fairly light. however when I went looking all of the tasks they were willing to pass off do were extremely menial. with the exception of a few, leadership never seems to be on the same page and will feed you different stories to fit their motives in that moment. the cofounder, while personally is a good person has a tendency to gaslight you into thinking that what you're dealing with isn't actually an issue. cashflow seemed to be a top issue for the company as they were able to pay vendor and subcontractor regularly. when I left 80 percent of their accounts were closed due to the balances not being paid. our bonuses from last year had still not been paid out 7 month into the new year. I feel if they were able to just communicate that the company was in need of a cut back most us (while irritating) would understand and prefer to have a job than a bonus. while I was there they pulled PTO benefits for certain employees that had taken from them without their knowledge. They had all accepted the job with the understanding that they would receive paid time off at the end of their 90 days. Their head of HR holds no formal HR degree and confidential conversations/ knowledge seem to leak out through the walls fairly quickly. previous employees had brought issues of harassment to HR and they would never file a report. They would protect higher leadership rather than keep employees that worked to help the company succeed in a healthy manner. one of their Directors was such a flirt with women that they had to hire a male office manager. The CEO has a tendency to talk down to people who she doesn't feel is on the same level as her socially. When asked how they would better diversity and inclusion within the company they said "we live it every day that's enough" meanwhile slurs are thrown consistently. due to their high employee tenure the average employee has only been with the company for one year. this means that the ability to receive adequate training is extremely low.
