Pros

If you're highly skilled and lazy, this is the place. - no skills required - good coffee and snacks - 2 hour lunch everyday and no one cares, why? B/C no work - always hiring - You can BS to get ajob here (99% of QCT employees know nothing about enterprise HW, Solutions, and Support)

Cons

Be prepared for a culture shock if you plan to work for QCT, everyone speaks Taiwanese and they don't care if you do or not. Everything you were ever taught in Silicon Valley, just throw that out the windows. Providing customers the best solution, support, and experience isn't QCT's goal. Trying to push sales and the least amount of support is so you hear customers complaining everyday. You will be the buffer between customer complaints and upper management. - Taiwanese work culture, they know nothing about Silicon Valley work culture - Your not considered a company asset, just a cost - Management no english, pretty much useless - Very cheap company, you have to sign forms for pens, pencils, and notepads - Laptop sucks, no extra monitor or mouse is given - HR sucks - doesn't provide a good work environment for everyone - MIS/IT sucks - no documentation - no support to utilize all business tools - Sales sucks - hardly anything is ever sold to new customers - Market sucks - very inexperience - Teamwork and collaboration isn't encouraged - Taiwanese is the primary language at QCT - Arguments are normal even when customers are present - Everyone works in silos and everyone reports to different managers in Taiwan. - Managers in Taiwan seems to be clueless - Everything the job recruiter says is a lie - Dont be fooled by the nice buidling, for looks and hiring purposes only - The patio with BBQ grill is never used, relaxation room and ping pong table requires HR approval - QCT has no work culture or identity, no company updates, pizza party meetings, no company events, no company holiday QCT lacks real leadership, vision, and experience internally, customers and employees are treated poorly. 99% of all QCT employees don't have past experience with their current roles. Every is made up as it goes, no documentation for SOP for any department, no sense for improvements = no manager accountability. Managers at QCT really have nothing to do except make up rules for employees as it goes. Rules do not apply to managers, just non managerial employees.

Pros

Mostly a great group of people to work with... well most of them. Great building. If you just graduated from college, might be a good first job. Leave after a year and you will find other companies that are run very differently, more practical, more advanced and with less turnover of employees.

Cons

I have never witnessed an organization with an open door policy where the employees were too scared to speak up for change. The management style is run by the book to the letter of how they see fit. Upward mobility is limited. If you read the rest of the reviews on this site toward the cons, it is very accurate. Don't be fooled, this is not an American management style company. Some of the positive posts were probably generated by internal upper management who seem to hold grudges when people make suggestions for improvements. The people holding the grudges probably have their hands tied and can't really make the necessary changes, probably frustrates the hell out of them. They don't seem happy. Common tools and practices used in other companies are not here. You will need to provide yourself with the standard office tools and supplies (Keyboard, mouse, possibly laptop, monitor, stationary etc). Mostly antiquated processes using excel spreadsheets. You are there for one thing, sales. Everything that would be beneficial ancillary tools to increase sales and communication are low on the priority list. This company is not a start up. It is not rapidly expanding. If it was, there would be less negative comments on this site. Truly though, it is not a start up. They like to think they are, but no.
