Pros

None my gad they are plastic here!!

Cons

It's quite unsettling to discover that the HR Head prefers having a discussion about a yearly wage raise with employees several months in advance, only to reveal the increase without offering any chance for meaningful input. This approach not only lacks transparency but also feels dehumanizing, as if employees have no say in a significant aspect of their professional lives. Feedback and communication are essential elements of a healthy work environment. When it comes to matters as critical as salary raises, it's crucial for HR to engage in open and timely discussions with employees. However, the current practice seems to involve a one-sided conversation that leaves employees in the dark until decisions are already made. It's really frustrating and confusing to navigate through our HR policies, especially when it comes to vacation leave. I recently tried to understand the logic behind our 12 vacation leaves, only to discover that we can only monetize 5 of them. What's more puzzling is that the explanation given for this limitation is that it's supposedly for those who don't usually take vacation leaves and prefer working consistently. I mean, come on, that doesn't make much sense! I'm left scratching my head, wondering why the remaining 7 leaves can't be monetized fully. The HR team struggles to provide a clear and reasonable explanation for this, leaving me and probably many others in the dark about the decision-making process. It's not just about the money; it's about understanding the policies that affect our work-life balance. It feels like the policies are being applied unevenly, and the criteria for certain benefits are arbitrary. How can we trust a system that seems to lack transparency and leaves us without a clear understanding of the rules? We deserve a workplace where policies are communicated effectively, and there's a fair and understandable basis for decision-making. I believe it's crucial for the HR department to revisit and communicate these policies in a way that makes sense to all employees. It's not about questioning the rules but about having a workplace where we can all understand and navigate the policies without feeling like we're in the dark. Imagine being part of a conversation where your opinions, goals, and expectations are considered before finalizing decisions about your compensation. This would not only create a more human-centric workplace but also foster a sense of belonging and shared responsibility.

Hi! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns regarding our HR policies. Your feedback is valuable, and we appreciate your openness in expressing your perspectives. We understand the importance of transparent communication, especially when it comes to matters as crucial as salary raises and leave policies. Regarding the annual salary raise, we apologize that our discussions with you did not align with your expectations. We understand that salary raises are a crucial topic to discuss. Hence, we conduct meetings with employees and involved parties to ensure they have an opportunity to raise and validate their concerns. We prioritize transparency through these discussions, and decisions are only made once we have ensured all concerns of the involved parties are resolved. For the vacation leave policies and conversions, your frustration is valid, and we recognize the need for a clearer explanation of the reasoning behind these policies. Leave conversions are an added benefit for our employees. The aim of this is not to hinder work-life balance but rather to ensure that those employees who seldom use their leaves are rewarded. It is the decision of the employees if they will opt for their leaves to be converted or if they would rather use them. Nonetheless, your call for revisiting and communicating these policies aligns with our commitment to fostering a workplace where employees feel informed and included. Your advice is well-heard, and your suggestion for check-ins aligns with our commitment to maintaining dialogue with our employees. As part of our processes, we already have a medium for regular check-ins to gather insights from employees about the HR Department and also Employee Engagement, and we are looking to further enhance this practice. We are currently undergoing a review of our HR policies, aiming to ensure they are more understandable, fair, and consistent. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We value your commitment to making our workplace better and look forward to working together to address these matters.
