Pros

Flexible work hours and relaxed work environment (no strict dress code).

Cons

The salary for professional positions is typically lower than what other companies in the Orange County area offer. The amount of pay raises offered to professional employees barely keeps up with the inflation rate. Most companies have their share of Dilbert mangers and politics, QSC is no exception, though the amount of both conditions tends to be higher than normal for a company of this size.

Thank you, Anonymous, for your valuable feedback and for sharing your assessment of QSC. Like any growing company, QSC is not impervious to growing pains. Growth requires change, and change is regarded differently, depending on each individual’s comfort level. As we grow, we bring on new talent to help us stay leading-edge and best-in-class across all organizational functions. This is of course in addition to the numerous career and professional development resources we offer our employees, helping us to provide opportunities to promote from within. Growth (and change) is not only necessary, but critical for our organization and the individuals and families who rely on QSC to be among the very best in the industry. We strive to maintain a culture that is both professionally and personally rewarding. We are proud of the excellent benefits that we provide and participate in salary surveys on a regular basis to ensure our salaries remain competitive. We are also proud of our multi-year designation as a Top Workplace in Orange County. This award is based on employee responses to an anonymous survey that is conducted by a company contracted with the OC Register and with no affiliation to QSC. Among the over 400 employees who call QSC “home” are a wonderful mix ranging from new hires to 30+-year QSC veterans. In fact, this year alone we will give out service awards to over 40 employees who have been here in excess of 10 years. While it is true that some employees have left QSC, we have been aggressively hiring and our number of employees continues to rapidly grow. I don’t believe any company in this industry (or most any other) has a flawless record in terms of new product releases, but we stand on our brand reputation for high quality and more importantly, in how we serve the needs of our customers when we don’t get things exactly right. Ultimately, our customers decide whether or not we’ll be successful as a company and given our continued growth and the feedback that we receive from them, we (and they) feel like we’re on the right track. Our culture, centered around an ongoing exchange of ideas, sharing of experience, and side-by-side work environment, helps ensure that we keep moving forward while always staying grounded in the values and principles that have built the QSC brand over the last 47 years. Our founders Pat Quilter, Barry Andrews, and John Andrews may no longer run the company day to day, but as active Board members, they continue to dedicate themselves to the success of QSC today, and in planning for our future. Thank you for your service to QSC, and given your 10+ years with us, your role in helping us become the brand we are today. Joe

Pros

Thorough, 2-stage interview. Interviewers are friendly, intelligent, and curious. Onboarding is perfectly meticulous to ensure new hires learn and have access to all the information they will need to start their new position with an excellent foundation. Entire team is refreshingly welcoming and fosters a collaborative, team-centric environment.

Cons

Office chairs aren't Herman Miller Aerons or comparable.
