Pros

Pretty campus. Rewarding work. Meaningful friendships can be formed.

Cons

1. Low pay. 2. Rotating shifts and “turn-arounds. Meaning you can be scheduled to 3p -11p and the next day be assigned 7a-3p. You are expected to to work both shifts per week. 3. 6 weekend shifts per schedule. Full weekends don’t come around real often. If you have one you might be working 10 days in a row to get one. 4. No breaks, none. You will be “assisting” a resident or residents with their meals, during which time you will eat the same thing at the same time as them. No outside food permitted at mealtime. 5. Legally enough staff, however not enough to perform the work with the quality you want to give to each resident. High turnover. 6. Management is sexually suggestive. No formal complaints because you will either be fired or your work life will be a living hell until you “resign.” 7. “Best Place to Work?” Surveys are worded in a way that they are not really anonymous. If your answers don’t make the grade you might (clearing my throat) be asked to change your answer and/or be asked to “resign.”
