Pros
- The head of software engineering, Georg, is a brilliant manager. He's friendly, intelligent, and loves up-skilling his team. - The drones are being used on the battlefield on Ukraine. If you support that cause, then it's an inspiring place to work. - Florian, the CEO, and frankly the entire C-suite, will gladly have a 30 minute meeting with you whenever you want to discuss what's on your mind. This openness is refreshing. - Free museli bar - comes stocked with fresh fruit, nuts, and other tasty garnishes.
Cons
Some startup growing pains. - The startup has only raised significant capital fairly recently, and hasn't fully switched gears into growth mode. Some of the productivity tools we use are not the industry standard, and are chosen instead based on cost. My advice here to leadership would be to spend a little more if it means saving employee time during this growth phase. - Culture seems somewhat team-dependent at the moment. The company has grown significantly in the last few years, leading to individual team cultures growing that don't fully align. Team leads should encourage more cross pollination.
