Pros
The benefits were good. There is a union now and they have signed and ratified a contract.
Cons
There are so many--start by googling Lori Zeno to see all the controversies she's been in. The office employs multiple union-busting tactics, even after a contract has been signed. They've fired people for filing ADA requests, for their union activity, and for not wanting to prosecute people (they're the only PD office in the city that works with the Family Justice Center--an organization that helps prosecute abusers). They gaslight their employees, telling them way after they were hired that certain job requirements were discussed in an interview or offer letter that were not discussed. They fire people during the probationary period without any previous warnings, without discussing job performance, nothing. Management, specifically Lori Zeno and Hettie Powell, are insane control freaks who are terrified of the union coming in and exercising any kind of power to keep them in line. Lori Zeno feeds off the misery of her employees. The organization is BLEEDING attorneys, and any attorney who is still there has either been there long enough to have a "tenure" of sort, or is currently looking for another job to get out. DO NOT WORK HERE.
