Pros

Remote working was offered including equipment HR team is brilliant and incredibly helpful

Cons

Some extremely difficult people to work with including the head of the English Team and one of the line managers. Management failed me multiple times. They singled me out for not having a MA in translation yet were the ones that hired me in the first place. You will be left mostly on your own with no help offered. When I asked for help and pointed out that I felt that some of the feedback was unfair I was treated completely different and was pushed out of the company. If you value your personal life and mental health, DO NOT go and work for these people. They were extremely unprofessional and bullied me in the workplace. The probationreviews were not objective and only focused on the negative. I was called a liar multiole times during my time at this establishment eventhoughi was just following instructionsfrom my lime manager. Please please avoid this place. The pay was terrible. Do not hesitate to go to HR if in this situation since I found them to be extremely helpful and understanding. I was extremely unhappy in this establishment and my passion for translation was robbed from me.

Pros

Questel has a really great offering that checks most of the boxes that corporate/law firm clients need when it comes to Intellectual Property, so the offering is strong which makes the work enjoyable in that you can really make a positive difference for your clients. My colleagues are all friendly and helpful. There's a healthy sense of competition but I have yet to meet anyone who will step on you to get what they want which is common in a lot of other places. I've heard from some coworkers that the culture has changed a lot (in a good way) in the last couple of years with new management. The training is really good here compared with some other IP SaaS/Service providers. Questel works hard to make sure you understand the products and the industry (which can be technical because it's an advanced legal topic).

Cons

IP SaaS/Services is a tough industry to get into if you don't already know a lot about the topic. It takes time to really get familiar with how patents especially work at a corporation or law firm. So it can be frustrating to get up to speed with the products. The company started in France even though its evolved into a global company over the last decade or so. A lot of the backend and support teams are still in Europe, which can make getting things done more challenging at times.
