Questionable - Manager QuizRR Employee Review

Quizrr genuinely practices a remote-first approach, which has been invaluable for someone with kids and a life in another city. Many companies claim to work this way, but Quizrr actually follows through. The space Quizrr operates in (human rights and learning) is interesting from both a human and technical perspective. It gives you the feeling that the work you do is contributing to something meaningful. The coworkers are among the nicest, funniest, and most wholesome people I’ve worked with.

The level of micromanagement was higher than in any environment I’ve previously worked in. Many decisions, including smaller day-to-day matters, often needed alignment or steering from higher levels of management, which at times limited autonomy and speed of execution. One example was when I was asked to hold a presentation during a monthly meetup. I initially planned to present a topic I found genuinely interesting and valuable, but the direction was later steered toward talking about code quality and similar predefined subjects instead. In the end, it removed much of the motivation and I didn't hold the presentation.

Exciting to work for a meaningful purpose. They have great project portfolio about ethical supply chains and labor rights at global level.

Old-fashioned project management methods are improving. A bit disorganized but get things done.
