Pros
Relationships with co-workers across several laboratory department and functional groups. Integrity of the lab teams to provide quality results. I was very happy with the goals and mission of Quintiles and felt a part of the clinical trials community to help our clients bring safe and beneficial products to market. Stressful, at times, but very much a team effort and overall positive attitudes throughout the company especially before Quintiles merged with Quest to become Q2 Solutions in 2015.
Cons
Merger transferred the Analytical clinical laboratory workload to California or Scotland. Inconsistent dialogue across the funtional departments- SILO effect regarding communication especially between the Project Services teams to Lab Management( Pre-Analytical & Analytical teams). Project Service members with minimal clinical lab or science backgrounds and inconsistent training for these new hires. Benefits and incentives lessened drastically with the merger.
