Pros

- Relatively straightforward work (basic customer service) - Set Hours (8:30am - 5:00pm) - Near many restaurants for lunch

Cons

- Awful work environment. This is an office of all women and there is a lot of animosity between groups. - Not allowed to have any decorations or photos at desk. - Condecending upper management. Condescending tone when speaking to the women of the office and negative attitude towards all staff except "favorites"

Pros

I really enjoyed the friendships I made while working there; the Office manager was understanding and the only upper management person I felt the most comfortable talking to. The location is great

Cons

Where do I start? There is obvious favoritism at this place. You cannot ask questions about the policies without being made to feel stupid. It’s so micromanaged that you can’t make any changes to the policies without needing the bosses approval which sucks given that her condescending remarks make everyone feel stupid and scared to even approach her. They throw you on the phones right away with no proper training then make you feel stupid for asking questions. The CSR reps work their butts off handling those phones and dealing with the clients needs and they are treated like the bottom of the totem pole. Absolutely no praise or compliments for a job well done. I received a Gift from a client for being so attentive and the boss asked me why I got it and not this other person she clearly favorited over me when she did NOTHING to help the client. Huge slap in the face and the last straw for me to continue working there. Pay was low and no room to ask for a pay raise. Just an FYI to licensed agents: it’s an immediate raise to get your P&C license. All of you on the main floor are pretty much doing the same thing, ask for more upon getting hired. You do not make commission on the polices you sell and you are pushed to sell sell sell. You are NOT allowed to discuss your pay which if I’m not mistaken is against the law in CA, but I’m sure that’s done on purpose. Additionally the job postings for new ppl coming in are stating higher pay than most people that have been working there for years. Catch my drift?
