Pros

Normal work hours and get paid mostly on time

Cons

At first, I was asked to do a design challenge for the position I applied to. They compensated me with $200 for 2 technical drawings I made. Afterward, they refused to give me the position they promised unless I did "other work" for them to prove my ability - with no compensation at all. Eventually, I got the position after finishing an extra 3-5 different drawings. Plus they are only willing to offer minimum wage. The design team is very small and we have to report directly to the owner. She is very busy and does not remember any of the instructions that were given to us. When we were not able to meet her standards/ requests, she accused us of not being competent at our job or not paying attention to the work, etc. Now and then she came to our office to snoop on us secretly (the office it's a very small bedroom in the company’s apartment). She would also talk to you 1-on-1 and question your "passion" for this job if she caught you using your phone. The level of micro-management and miscommunication is unbelievable in this company. I worked there for only a few months since I was going through career transition, and this is my first design job. If you are interested in applying for any job here, I strongly suggest NOT to. They verbally abuse/ gaslight their employees and treat them unfairly. Save yourself and stay away from them.

I am truly sorry that this person has had such a bad experience with our company. It saddens me to hear that this person has taken this memory with them for such a long time. We have been fully remote since 2019 and no one of our team of ten long term staff has worked onsite since then.

Pros

It's a super small company , so everyone gets along and really cares about each other. Most of the staff has been there through out the whole pandemic, so being together and succeeding through those hard times has created a great and unique bond between upper management and staff. The work that we get to do is incredibly cool. Being able to see project after project come to fruition is always so inspiring. We get to be as creative as possible in so many different ways, be it creating artwork, curating artwork or coming up with big art-based ideas for all types of clients. No day is the same and every day brings new opportunities to tackle. For a company that has little to zero traditional marketing, we are never without business and always busy. The job starts at 10 am and ends at 6pm and it provides a lot of time to have a good life balance. We all work hard ,we don't stop until the work is done but we also feel comfortable knowing that we can prioritize our families and take time off if we need it! It's a relaxed and familial vibe. We love to laugh and support each other. It's truly a great place for someone who is a self starter, wants to take ownership and grow in their career with a company, as we are growing every day.

Cons

Sometimes working with our manufacturers in different countries can be frustrating as they don't always adhere to timelines set by our clients.
