Pros
It can be fun because you may come across something you would like to come back and purchase at a later time. If you like to spend time alone, it's also a great opportunity for that.
Cons
It's a lot of standing and bending so it can be a lot physically if you are not used to that. Several times you'll find items in the stores that are not in the correct location and you can't find where they go or you'll find a product in two locations but each place has a different price; which one is the correct price? You really don't get very many hours so your pay doesn't add up to much.
