A great group of people to work with, up to all levels in the company. A fully open culture which is receptive to new ideas when suggested. Hires lots of graduates and gives a good introduction to the industry. Individuals with a lot of experience to learn from.

Poor role definition. Tendency for a 'one man band' approach to delivery which means individuals often have to take on more than is realistic. Little visibility of career progression. No real 'middle band' of consultancy experience to bridge the gap between graduates and principal consultants. Clashing cultures between business areas.

Genuinely care about the welfare of their employees, good laugh and good people to work with. Lots of opportunities to develop quickly.

Can be really challenging working in a SME, you need to manage clients, sell work and solve technical problems which is challenging to balance.
