Having previously worked here, I saw a company with aspirations turn into a metrics machine. If you're not hitting your metrics, what is your value, felt like a common theme. In addition, there is no room for upward movement in the company.
The current state of the company is too many people in higher level roles and not enough employees in lower-level roles. If you have any aspiration of vertical movement, it will fall on deaf ears. They do not have the willingness or capability to move people up. I was promised for years the ability to move to the next level or be given a new direction, but it was never going to happen. If you're hitting the numbers that were set for you, why would they care to make changes?
Hit your numbers = receiving the bare minimum cost of living raise, minimal ESOP stocks, and an increased cost of your benefits package.
If you asked me when I first started, I would have told anyone to work here. After you become disillusioned, you’ll understand it’s empty promises and pressure to bring in as much money as possible. It felt like nothing was ever enough.
