Pros
(1) First off, the partners & staff at the Blacksburg Office are nothing short of amazing - intelligent, caring, down to earth, & humorous - a very fun, and still professional, atmosphere. Partners are very involved in the work/team effort. (2) Great auditing experience and learning opportunities - you get to see the audits through from start to finish, and there is variety of work to be done there. (3) You will be rewarded for good work and you will build solid relationships. You will feel purposeful.
Cons
(1) First Year - The first year may seem dry and boring at first, but after that, it all clicks and you start doing more interesting work and seeing the big picture. (2) Travel - not that I minded it too much, but be prepared to know your group better than you'd expect. It's a lot of time away from home. (3)Overtime - not always required , but sometimes necessary if you are trying hard to get your work done timely. I always felt it was a team effort though, and you do feel appreciated (it's not like nobody notices). .
