Not worth it, even if desperate - Director of Sales ROSALIND Employee Review

Pros

You'll have the opportunity to work independently and will be largely self-directed. It's good for the self-starter who is looking to have new professional experiences.

Cons

The CEO is one of the most dishonest people I've ever met. Most of the things I was told in the recruiting phase that attracted me to Rosalind ended up being untrue. The software platform has a lot of problems and there doesn't seem to be the proper organizational resources nor strategic direction to fix it. Additionally, the company has a forfeited status with the FTB in the state of California for failure to file taxes (look for yourself by doing a business search on the California Secretary of State website) and I'm personally aware of active collections against the company at the time of this writing (June 2024). The company has no dedicated personnel for HR, finance, nor marketing, which should raise some serious red flags about the health and values of the organization.

Pros

-Product demos well at trade shows -There are some very bright, hardworking people who can help smooth rough edges but are consistently relegated to putting out fires.

Cons

The CEO is thoroughly dishonest and attempts to motivate out of fear, yet the company is losing large customers because of a history of empty promises and a dearth of low skill-level account managers which the CEO admitted to me was the case. When a longtime partner filed for bankruptcy, I was laid off less than one month later along with others. We received immediate layoff notices by text message without warning, cause, or reprimand. None of those affected received our quarterly commission due nor severance payouts to date.
