Pros

Everyone at RTA brings their unique self and we celebrate that we are the Misfits of the Corporate Culture. The pay is amazing and we practice transparency with our work to understand how much we cost the company and make for the company, this helps us stay grounded and always confident of our status. We are valued as true professionals and are able to voice our opinions and thoughts to our leaders and we are heard - most of my suggestions are implemented as I pitch them ;) That is the kind of nimble, new age company RTA is.

Cons

You MUST know how to capitalize on work from home life. This is not a CON but can lead to stress if one does not take care of themself. A major PRO to mitigate this is we have full autonomy to get our work done the way we see fit, it just needs to be done well!

Pros

Supportive work environment Many opportunities to learn new skills or job functions Access to working internally with exciting start-ups

Cons

Need to sometimes work after hours but this applies to all recruitment roles and isn't reflective of RTA as a workplace. Management does not promote working outside of normal work hours unless you choose to.

Pros

Great pay, benefits, friendly team, great work-life balance

Cons

Team building was very above normal and got very personal. I thought it was since it was a small team at first. Then I realized management used it to their advantage to decide who to lay off first when the time came. They were able to decide amongst themselves who could afford to be laid off versus who couldn't, based on personal facts we all shared in team building. I will never again allow myself to be so vulnerable and share in a work setting again. Prior to lay offs, everything was amazing at RTA and I don't just say that as a bitter former employee. I'm not bitter about being laid off, only butter about the fact that I was probed for personal life details for years only so it could be used against me and they wouldn't feel bad to let me go.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and I'm happy to hear that overall it was a positive experience and that you were felt comfortable enough to connect with your co-workers on a meaningful level. We try to create an environment where people can be authentic at work while also respecting boundaries. I also want to acknowledge that lay-offs are a really tough thing to go through and as we process the event in our minds, it's natural to try to make sense of these things by putting various pieces together from our experience. That is why at RTA, we do everything we can to be appropriately transparent to all employees and to communicate the reasoning behind business decisions, whether it's in company all-hands meetings, one-on-one settings with your manager or skip level meetings with me or other members of leadership. I assure that all decisions in a reduction in workforce event are based solely on business need using business-related data. That being said, we do everything we can to support our employees, whether they are actively employed with us, in transition, or onto to their next opportunity. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can help in any way and I wish you the best. Thank you for your years of service and hope that at RTA, you gained valuable tools to bolster you in your next opportunity. -Ruba Asmussen, CEO/Founder, RTA Consulting
