Pros

9/80 Schedule Christmas break from 23rd Dec to beginning of Jan Casual work environment with regards to dress code Nice people who are willing to help and share knowledge Comfortable work environment (i.e, table, chair, filing cabinet, etc...) Issued a new laptop (for use in office and on travel)

Cons

Work can be very hard to find due to being a remote site Management tends to forget about us here in Huntsville Trust issues are ongoing with regards to actually being at the office and other things Management overseeing employees here in Huntsville who work in Tucson don't approve of telecommuting even though it is approved within Raytheon with reason. We need to be seperate from Tucson in regards to management running things remotely. We need to engage our own contracts and have our own local managers run the facility. Management should go through ongoing training to learn how to communicate and listen effectively.

Pros

I worked at Raytheon for over 4 years and had a great experience. The company provided many learning and growth opportunities. I was promoted twice during my tenure with the company, and my responsibility increased significantly. I felt like my management supported me and provided me with the career mentorship that I was seeking. I felt empowered and respected during my time there.

Cons

It can be difficult to work at such a large defense contractor company because of all the process and red tape. Things can move slowly, you have to be patient and pick your battles. That being said, if you learn how to work within the system, you can make a significant impact here!
