Pros

Summer Hours & PTO.

Cons

We lost 3 major shows due to Chet's incompetence. The first was Mass General which he touted was a huge success but ended up with RX paying dearly to get out of a 25 year agreement. Then came Eastern Sports Show, where he decided that modern sporting rifles would not be permitted at the show, due to the Sandy Hook happening a few months earlier. Due to his decision the show had to be cancelled after multiple vendors pulled out. Shortly after that the SHOT Show also decided to part ways with RX. Many employees lost their jobs while Chet got a big promotion, pay raise & moved to the UK. Once Chet was gone we had another president who tried her best to make it work but couldn't live up to the pressure/politics, so we ended up with Herve, who is way over his head and is lost trying to keep Chet & the UK off his back, while trying to maintain moral at home. Senior Management is clueless and uncaring. Middle Management will do whatever they can to save their jobs by throwing you under the bus. Middle Management and other managers have no clue how their employees feel. HR does not care for the individual employee but rather does whatever Senior Management tells them to do. They have this program called Sales Cadets who are fresh out of college who get 6 months of specialized sales training. The regular sales teams who have been with RX for years don't even get so much as a one day course. Once these cadets are released you can be sure if you've been with RX for many years they will replace you at half the cost. The company awards are constantly handed out to favorite departments & individuals, while those down in the trenches get little or no recognition or thanks from those we helped get the awards. The company has lost many loyal long term employees of 10, 15, 20+ years and now is mostly made up of employees with less than 10 years. unless your Middle or Senior Management. Then the RX person reads these reviews responds saying how sorry they feel for you...etc...and would love to discuss it further. The company should have realized that when these people were loyal employees they tried to make a difference!

Pros

Opportunity for growth within the company, great focus on not only retaining but growing inhouse talent. Tons of different sales roles to apply for. Ability to work remote full time.

Cons

Perhaps not the most competitive salary initially but can easily work your way into one.

Pros

The hybrid work model, I guess?

Cons

Do yourself a favor and filter this section to only the 1 star and 2 star reviews, because those are the only accurate reviews, at least for RX Global in the Norwalk office. At RX, you are overworked, but also underpaid and undervalued. Employees at this company are just a number. You are paid a comically low salary, no overtime, and HORRIBLE benefits, all for them to use and abuse you. You are expected to work overtime throughout the entire year. You are not only expected to travel for your own shows, but you are also required to volunteer for other shows and attend other external events throughout the year, that always fall over weekends. Have a good idea? Something that can propel the business forward? Doesn't matter! Unless you are VP level or above, your ideas are worth nothing— If anything, they're laughed at. On that note, unless you are VP level or above, not only do you have no autonomy, but you are essentially a dumping ground for admin work. And last but not least, the company culture is one consisting of gossip. Be prepared to be gaslit, micromanaged, and emotionally manipulated if you consider working here. Oh also, non-existent growth opportunities!
