Pros
The job was tolerable and benefits were good when Ebay owned it. It went way downhill after it was purchased by a private investment firm.
Cons
The way employees are treated is absolutely deplorable. Most of the long term employees have quit within the last few months, supervisors have walked out without notice. It's a bad environment for basically everyone but management's "in-crowd" and the engineers (if you scrutinize most of the recent reviews, you'll notice that the majority are written by management, HR and tech/professional employees, as opposed to production workers. There is a reason...). The production standards are impossible to meet when workers are being switched between tasks every five minutes, but this is not reflected in disciplinary policy. Since the company was purchased from ebay, most full timers have been replaced with perma-temps. The pay for these workers has also declined. Benefits are a shell of what they used to be, but are more expensive for the few that are full time. Good luck getting promoted beyond lead... I can count on one hand the number of workers that were promoted from hourly to salary. Those promoted to lead are typically pets.
