Corporate, HR Unresponsive and Invisible - Traffic Reporter Radiate Media Employee Review

Pros

Work is fine. You're on air with large in-market clients; you get more out of networking than you do actually working.

Cons

Absolutely the most unprofessional, unresponsive media company I've worked at. Our 'region supervisor' goes months without every setting foot in the office- always claims to be 'working from home' despite not answering calls or emails. There is a complete lack of communication- technical and schedule changes are made without any notice or warning. The nepotism and favoritism in the office is appalling- as long as the 'region supervisor' takes a shine to you, client complaints, a lack of punctuality, and refusal to perform certain aspects of the job don't matter. If you're not one of 'the favorites,' expect to be blackballed and shut out of hours the second you make a minor mistake or call in sick. HR and corporate is invisible. Complaints, emails, grievances and calls go unanswered and ignored. The clients are great to have on a resume...but even working at those stations means nothing when you try and apply for other jobs AT that station/cluster.

Pros

Very nice coworkers. Benefits are just OK.

Cons

Very antiquated systems! Everything is done by hand on excel sheets. Traffic, orders, inventory... everything! We have had 3 comp plans since Jan. The second commision plan was rolled out right before Memorial Wknd, was not in writing and we were told that it was retroactive to April 1st. The latest comp plan is the most ludicrous commision structure that I have ever seen in my 20+ years of sales. It's a rolling plan based off % to budget and the budgets are unrealistic and unattainable! Most companies will take last yrs actual sales and give you a 10% budget increase. Not Radiate, this company just randomly gives you a sales budget with no rhyme or reason. One person might have a 10% increase and someone else will have a 50% increase. There is no equality when it comes to setting budgets. It's just a dart throw by a mgr who is blindfolded. Basically, nice base with a lousy comp plan.
