Pros
There aren't many: it is a job in this economy and it grants access to some of the trends in technology.
Cons
Overall, sales associates are over-worked and very under-paid. Expectations from management continue to rise with no real incentives for associates. Everything is negative in this company - there are hardly ever any positive reviews or recognition for performing well. Only way to make money is selling wireless phones, even though the standards demand employees to acheive endless metrics which supply no benefit. Stores are under-staffed and the number of redundant/useless projects passed down make it seem like the customers are hardly the priority. Planogram updates twice a month (every month it seems we do the same planograms), sale set-up every week, price audits, putting away orders - all while trying to somehow do just well enough selling to satisfy keeping the job. Constant threats, while never receiving a word of appreciation. It is a hassle to get time-off approved and the company treats its part-timers like the job is a career and we should sacrifice our committment to school to sell more service plans and collect e-mail addressess. It is a draining job, with truly no tangible benefits and the morale is wrecked by a negative environment of constant demands and no-win situations. I go into work wondering what metric will be shoved down our throats that shift because there is always something. I have worked for the company for over three years and everything about the job keeps going rapidly downhill.
