Pros

Open to diversity in the work place, with a superb effort in trying to equalize the workforce, middle management and senior management. They are pushing to bring in and elevate women in management as well as minorities. The workplace is generally stable and there are work excellence recognition programs in place. There is the "Raymond James University" with job relevant training courses. There is the opportunity to transfer within the company and managment is generally supportive of those transfers.

Cons

There is an obvious lack of an "Open Door" with senior management. There is a definite "coldness" if you try to approach senior management with issues or concerns. They hire employees for their expertise and then turn a deaf ear to that expertise and hire consultants. Bonuses are lopsided - high grossing financial advisors and senior management get large bonuses - standard associates get miniscule rewards.

Pros

Small firm feel and easy to stand out as a high performer.

Cons

The firm is very old school in promotions and growth so they value tenure over performance.
