There are several kind, hardworking coworkers who are doing their best despite the circumstances. You will probably get a raise if you stay past 1-2 years. Health insurance coverage is decent.

Boss is often out of state and leaves the firm for weeks. This lets the incompetent partner attorney completely run the show while certain paralegals destroy morale by micromanaging, yelling, and cursing at staff. When the boss is told about these issues, nothing is done.

Nice, easygoing coworkers with a few exceptions.

Salary is awful and doesn't even keep up with cost of living. You could literally make more working in fast food. If your one of the admin, you will be yelled at by attorneys and blamed for problems that are the boss's own fault. They will overlook you for raises while attorneys and paralegals make six figures. Even when you ask for raises they don't appreciate your hard work and tell you to quit if you're not happy. No wonder so many people are leaving or trying to leave.
