Pros

Generally a pleasant work environment. Having a cafeteria on site was nice. Covered concrete sidewalks was great during the hot months.

Cons

Really don’t care about their people. Too busy to train up new engineers, only to loose them in a year. Never have the proper amount of people to sustain a programs needs. Program managers are given impossible objectives with unrealistic expectations. Department managers are unfortunately have no idea how to manage due to being always under manned. Seasoned engineers with 10 plus years also feel the brunt of “Just get it done”. Promises are made by Functional Managers and are rarely kept. Many seasoned engineers are looked over for promotions due to company misalignment of funds. It’s been a problem for the past couple years and is getting worse. The merge of United Technologies and Raytheon has caused issues with keeping engineers. Raytheon RMD only cares about the numbers of employees they have on the books, and less about the well being or growth of the individual.

Pros

Great entry level company. You will learn a lot on the job. There is a lot of opportunity for career movement.

Cons

Slow-paced (could be a pro for some people) Lots of "red-tape" / paperwork Management is questionable. Couldn't land prime contracts and over committed on some proposals. This led to massive layoffs.
